Another launch title for the PlayStation 5 has been confirmed with the racing game WRC 9. The announcement was accompanied by a gameplay trailer and technical details.
With the remake of Demon’s Souls, the superhero adventure Spider-Man: Miles Morales or Sackboy: A Big Adventure, various PlayStation 5 launch titles have already been confirmed in the past.
As announced today, the racing game WRC 9 developed by KT Racing will join the local PS5 launch line-up. The PS5 version of WRC 9 will be released on November 12, 2020, in the USA. According to official information, anyone who already owns the racing game for the PlayStation 4 can look forward to upgrading it to the PS5 version free of charge.
It is also said that the title will of course benefit from the more powerful hardware of the PS5. Among other things, you can look forward to a display in 4K resolution with a smooth 60 FPS. In addition, the developers at KT Racing are saying that they are making extensive use of the features of the DualSense controller.
“Thanks to the subtle vibrations possible with the DualSense controller, players can experience the most realistic driving sensations yet and feel the difference between asphalt, gravel and snow, as well as the direction of impacts. In terms of gameplay, the controller’s innovative triggers have also been used to provide more feedback. They react to the vehicle’s condition, such as making acceleration harder when the car is damaged,” the developers explained in the press release.
The October update for WRC 9, which includes six new tracks for the Rally Finland and a photo mode, will be on board on the PS5 as standard.
