Baldur’s Gate 3 features plenty of side quests and activities to keep you engaged. Such activities are present in almost every Act and you can play them for extra rewards and cutscenes. The Chicken Chasing game is one such activity that can be played in Act 1 for some Gold. However, winning this game is not that simple and that is why you will need some help.
In this guide, we will explain how exactly you can start and win the Chicken Chasing in BG3. So if you are up for some fun, this is the right time to get started.
How to Start the Chicken Chasing Game in Baldur’s Gate 3
To start the Chicken Chasing Game in Baldur’s Gate 3, you will have to go to the Goblin Camp. There, you will find an NPC Goblin called Krolla. After speaking to her, you will have to place a bet for 30 or 300 Gold. Once you have placed the Bet, enter the obstacle course-type area and stand close to the chicken.
From the moment you start moving, the chicken will start running away from you. You will have a total of 10 moves to catch the chicken.
How to Win BG3 Chicken Chasing
You will have to be careful as the chicken can escape through the entrance causing you to lose. But this is only possible if you nudge chicken toward there. Yes, the chicken will only move in the direction you nudge it. Taking advantage of it, you actually cheese the chicken chasing game in Baldur’s Gate 3. All you have to do is make the chicken go over to the area with multiple torches (refer to the below image):
To make sure that the chicken goes as intended, you can pick up and place the wooden crates to block its path. Once the chicken is trapped in the area marked above, you will win the game. However, the adventure does not end here. Krolla, who is the observer of the Chicken Chasing game in BG3 will try to fool you by saying that only Goblins can win it.
At this point, you can pass a Persuasion Check or Intimidation Check to recover your winning bet from Krolla.
Note: You can pick up and block the path with wooden crates and drums even before starting to chase the Chicken. But keep in mind that Krolla will readjust them after the game begins. This will buy you some extra time for chasing the chicken.
