Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley is one of the most beloved character in the Call of Duty franchise. Even though he is not the main protagonist, he is a fan favorite. Who Killed Ghost in Modern Warfare 2
One of the biggest plot twists in the history of Call of Duty was when General Shepherd betrayed Ghost and Roach. Shepherd is also the man who kills Ghost in Modern Warfare 2 (2009).
During the fifteenth mission, ‘Loose Ends’ once Roach and Ghost reach the extraction point, General Shepherd asks them if they have the DSM in their possession. Once they confirm they have it, he points a .44 Magnum at Roach and shoots him without any hesitation. He then swiftly moves the gun in the direction of Ghost and shoots his as well. Once they both are on the ground, he grabs the DSM from Roach while the other soldiers pick them up and throw them in a ditch. Gasoline is poured over them and General Shepherd throws his half-smoked cigar into the ditch, lighting them both on fire.
Is Ghost Killed in Modern Warfare 2 Campaign 2022?
COD fans were relieved to find out that they did not have to sit through another tragic loss. This means Ghost is not killed in Modern Warfare 2 (2022). To add to this, General Shepherd’s character is not that prominent during this reboot. Surprisingly, along with Ghost, most of the other main characters are also alive until the end of the game.
