Where to find Ditto in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Finding Ditto has tons of benefits in Pokemon Sword and Shield, you can get a better chance in finding Shiny Pokemon or you can train other Pokemon to be better in battles, but having a Ditto for all this is very necessary.

  1. There is only one place in Pokemon Sword and Shield where you can find Ditto and that is Lake of Outrage zone of the Wild Area.
  2. You can also reach this place if you have upgraded your bike on Route 9 to be able to cross water bodies.
  3. So make sure that you get your bike upgraded beforehand or there won’t be a way to get Ditto.
  4. Ditto can be found on both the over-world map where you can find it with other powerful Pokemon or as a random encounter in the grass.

The chances of finding a Ditto visibly in the grass in 10% and a 2% chance of it spawning as a random encounter in normal weather only. which is far better than the other Pokemon so make sure that you run back and forth around the grass patches.

  1. Do not stray too far as it may despawn the Pokemon that you can see and you can keep doing this until you find a Ditto.
  2. Ditto will most certainly transform into the very pokemon that you send against it so make sure that you do not send anyone too strong against it.

Once you have your Ditto you can head to any of the nurseries which you can find in Bridge Field zone of the Wild Area and another is on Route 5. Once you visit them you can fly directly to them anytime by using the taxi service.

This is all there is to know about where to find Ditto in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
