Where to find Charmander in Pokemon Sword and Shield

There is a way in which it is possible to get your hands on the beloved Pokemon Charmander and all of its evolution but it is not as easy as simply catching one in the wild.

To get a Charmander you will have to beat the game, it is more simple said than done but if you manage to finish the game, you can simply get a Charmander without much effort.

Just like every other Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Charmander and its evolution line do have a rare chance to be a Max Raid Battle target but you won’t be able to catch it then.

You will have to beat Leon in the Pokemon League and once you do you will be taken back home, once you are back though all you have to do is simply walk over to Hop and Leon’s house and go into Leon’s bedroom.

You can recognize the room, by looking for a lot of hats, if you find the room, simply look around and you will find a Pokeball with a Charmander inside of it.

How to get a Shiny Charmander in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Shiny Pokemon are often every trainer’s dream to catch, due to its rarity and though it’s all cosmetic but they look good, but Pokemon Sword and Shield do not have a Shiny Charmander.

  • So no matter how many times you restart the game you won’t be able to find a Shiny Charmander.
  • But since you have a Charmander you can evolve it into a Gigantamax as a Charizard.
