What Are Wounds In Warhammer 40k Darktide (System Explained)

Published Date :

Warhammer 40000 (Wh40k) Darktide is going to release soon, available for all PC players on Steam. This FPS will take you to the city of Tertium where you will come across several brutal fights. You might also die there, but don’t worry, thanks to the HP segments you’ll be resurrected in no time. However, speaking of HP many players are coming across a Curio which gives Wounds buffs. For those who are unaware, Curio works similarly as a charm in the game. As a downside, not many players are familiar with this buff and the game hasn’t described it in detail. Which makes the player wonder what Wounds does in Warhammer 40000 (40k) Darktide. If the same question is bothering you then don’t worry we are here to help. In this guide, we’ll explain all the aspects of the new Wounds system, so you don’t miss out on all the fun.

How do Wounds Work in Warhammer 40000 Darktide?

how do Wounds work In Warhammer 40k Darktide

In Warhammer 40000 Darktide the Wounds help you get an extra segment (section) in your HP bar. So if you have 3 default segments in your health bar, then the Curio with Wounds buff will add more. That depends on how much Wounds buff the Curio has, if it has +2, then it’ll add 2 sections to the HP. As we all are familiar with, this will automatically give you more chances to die and get resurrected. So if you are on level 8 and heading to the shop, make sure you equip this Curio in your slot.

Players can even lose these Wounds segments if they pick up the Grimoires available in the game. Doing so will corrupt the additional or the default HP section and turn it Purple. This corruption can only be restored once you head to the Med Section and heal yourself. Or else you’ll just be stuck with the Purple corrupted bar, leaving you with fewer chances to die and get resurrected. Also, make sure you don’t have any Grimoires on you while you are healing yourself. That’s because the Grimoires will prevent you by restoring the lost Wounds bar.

That sums up everything about what are Wounds in Warhammer 40000 ( Wh40k) Darktide. While you are here check out the all mission types available in the game.
