What is Sheckle Rain in Grow a Garden?
Sheckle Rain is a special weather event that cannot occur naturally in-game and is only spawned by admins. During this event, the sky takes on a golden hue, and Sheckle coins rain down for players to collect. Each coin typically awards between 10 and 75 Sheckles, and the event lasts roughly 5–10 minutes. Unlike normal rain or frost, Sheckle Rain does not trigger any plant mutations—it’s purely for free currency.
How It Works
- Admin-Only Trigger: As of now, there is no player-accessible command or item to trigger Sheckle Rain; only developers or server admins can spawn it. This is because it could be currently under testing for future implementation, but a public release is not confirmed yet. So, it could randomly happen while you’re playing!
- Visual and Audio Cues: Look for the distinctive yellow-gold sky and listen for a “coin shower” sound effect indicating that Sheckles are falling.
- How to Collect: When it actually happens, simply walk through the falling coins. They auto-collect on contact, instantly adding to your Sheckle balance.
Previously, Sheckle Rain has occurred in Grow a Garden 3 to 4 times (unpredictably), all of it in May 2025. At one time, it coincided with the Night event due to the Lunar Glow event. This made it a special nighttime Sheckle rain.
Since the developers send messages to players via in-game announcements, this was spotted:”Hi it’s me Jandel….should I do a fun wee admin command? >:)” and in one minute after that, Sheckle Rain was revealed in Grow a Garden. During this ‘weather’ event, coins were seen on the ground, similar to how you see in Pet Simulator games.
This looks like a great idea for an actual release on a Public server. While selling crops earns you quite a lot of money, some extra Sheckles given for free won’t hurt at all!
