While the Guardian is a mysterious figure in Baldur’s Gate 3, they might be more important than most players think. As you create your main character at the start, you will also have to create another character for the BG3 Guardian and make the choices for them. Although options like class selection and a few more won’t be available for you, the character you create will represent how the Guardian will appear in the game for you. But that does not answer who this mysterious figure is. In this guide, we will explain what the significance of this character is and when you get to meet them.
Who is the Guardian in Baldur’s Gate 3?
The Guardian is a NPC that will appear in the player’s dream after a long rest in Baldur’s Gate 3. Apparently, players need to tap into the Illithid abilities of the Parasite before heading for the long rest to meet with the Guardian in BG3. Although the Guardian does show up after every long rest, we managed to encounter them pretty early in the game after using the Parasite ability and having a long rest. So far, the Guardian only turns up for conversation and it does not look like players will be able to play this character or fight them. However, since we are yet to complete all the acts, only time will tell.
BG3 Guardian Choice
Many players are wondering choice should they make for their Guardian in Baldur’s Gate 3. However, at the time of writing, it does not look like choosing any customization options will make a difference. The customization is similar to the character you create for yourself. Since we are still getting to the bottom of this mysterious NPC, we cannot back this up just yet. But we will update this guide soon enough once the mystery is solved in the later half of the game.
That’s all we have on who the Guardian is in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you found this guide useful, do check out our other Baldur’s Gate 3 guides right here at Gamer Tweak.
