Veluza Weakness And Best Counters In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Published Date :

For players looking to beat and catch Veluza in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, knowing its weakness and the best counters you can use becomes important. The water and psychic type is a ninth-generation Pokemon that players will come across in the Paldea region in the game. Veluza doesn’t have any evolutionary form and can be encountered North, East, and West provinces of Paldea near bodies of water like the Paldean Sea.

The fishlike Pokemon along with its psychic prowess also possesses offensive power that can deal effective damage to its enemies. It also has some regenerative capabilities that can be quite annoying to deal with in the game. However, there are some special attacks and types that Veluza is vulnerable to in Pokemon SV. So if you want to add the Pokemon to your Pokedex, then here are all its weaknesses and best counters that you can use.

All Veluza Weakness & Best Counters in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

All Veluza Weakness And Best Counters In Pokemon SV

You will find Veluza to be weak to Bug, Ghost, Grass, Electric, and Dark-type moves in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. In addition to it, Steel and Psychic-type Pokemon will take less damage and are resistant to most of Veluza’s attacks in the game. We would suggest you either have Grass or Dark-type Pokemon at your disposal to deal the damage required.

Some of the attacks that players should be aware about are Aqua Jet, Psycho Cut, Aqua Cutter & Liquidation. Most of the attacks either deal with water or psychic along with physical damage in the game. The best counter to beat Veluza would be to use special attacks more prominently with the Pokemon types it’s weak to in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

We would recommend you use Pokemon like Meowscarada, Kingambit, Bramblin, etc to exploit the Veluza weakness and deal even more damage with special attacks. If you have any ghost-type Pokemon at your disposal it would be best to use them as a last option as there are some dark moves that this Pokemon uses in the encounter.

Veluza Stats

  • Sp. Atk: 78
  • Sp. Def: 65

There is a signature move, Fillet Away which he uses to reduce half of his HP while increasing its Attack, Sp. Atk, and Speed stats in the game.
