During your journey in Soul Hackers 2, you will be using your Weapons to take out your Enemies. At one point, your Weapons will not be able to handle the power of your foes & you will need to upgrade them. To Upgrade said Weapons in Soul Hackers 2, you will have to meet Tataru in a building named COMP Smith. This will eventually happen as you progress through the game & reach the Mansei Realm area. Interact with Tataru & you will be able to Upgrade your Weapons.

Upgrading your Weapons in the game not only makes them stronger but also unlocks Special Effects. These Special Effects will aid your team and support them to victory. To upgrade your Weapon, you will need certain resources. These resources can be obtained by defeating other Demons in Soul Hackers 2. Once you have enough resources & Yen, you can upgrade the Weapon by purchasing them from Tataru. The Upgrade Menu is a bit confusing but by highlighting them you will be able to see what the Weapon requires for Upgrading.
