Where and How to Upgrade Tools in AC Mirage
To upgrade Tools, you must head over to a Hidden One’s Bureau and talk to one of the Banu Musa Brothers. If you are having trouble finding a Bureau, then you can refer to the image below:
Once you are inside the Bureau, follow these steps to upgrade your Tool in AC Mirage:
- Find and speak to a Musa Brother – select the dialogue Upgrade or Reset Tool.
- After that, select the Tool you want to upgrade from the wheel.
- On the next screen, you will see 3 Upgrade Tiers with 3 (or 2) different enhancements.
- Purchase a Tier by using Steel Ingots, Components, and Leather. This will unlock all enhancements from that specific Tier.
- Select any upgrade you wish to apply to your Tool and the job is done.
Note that you can select only one upgrade from Tier 1, 2, and 3 respectively. However, those who have unlocked the ‘Engineer Skill‘ can select a second Tier 1 Tool Upgrade for each Tool they have unlocked. It can be purchased after spending 4 Skill Points in the Trickster Skill Tree.
Why Should You Upgrade Tools in AC Mirage
Upgrading your unlocked Tools adds some extra effects making them even more dangerous for the enemies. For instance, Smoke Bombs are normally used to create a distraction or to retreat without getting spotted. However, if you upgrade it with an enhancement like Choking Fumes, then the enemies caught in the smoke will take damage too. Isn’t that a great thing? Don’t worry, if you don’t like an upgrade, then you can go back and reset the Tool with the help of a Musa brother.
For your reference, we will mention all Tool Upgrades available in AC Mirage below. It will help you to decide what upgrade should you pick for your Tool.
