Monk Maz Koshia in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is an unlockable character and he’s just as good and tough as he was in Breath of the Wild DLC. Monk Maz Koshia will certainly be a valuable character to your roster and if you wish to unlock him, here’s how you do it.
How To Unlock Monk Maz Koshia In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
You will need to get to chapter 4 to unlock a mission called “The Trials of Monsters”, that you will lead you to complete the mission titled, “The Trial of the Mighty Foe”, upon completion of this quest, you will have to seek out a quest titled, “The Trial of Stones” and finally you will have to defeat Monk Moz Koshia in the “Trial of the Ancients” quest.
The Trials of Monsters quest will only be unlocked when you complete the second mission in Chapter 4. Here you are required to gather 5 Ethereal Stones and a lot of monster trophies. Once that is done, immediately you will get another mission titled, The Trial of the Might Foe in the Faron region with requirements along the same line but more, this time you have to bring 7 Ethereal Stones and even more monster trophies.

Now you will have to go to the eastern part of the Faron region for the mission titled Trial of Stones, this mission will have you collect 7 Ethereal Stones and a bunch of ores. After completing all of this, you will finally have to go to South of Central Hyrule to find the mission titled, Trial of the Ancients.
Beat Monk Maz Koshia and he will become a playable character and one of your biggest assets in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
