How to Complete the Unfinished Business Quest in Destiny 2 (Step-by-step Guide)
Follow the steps below to complete the Unfinished Business quest and unlock the Deterministic Chaos Machine Gun in Destiny 2:
Step 1
After winding up the Lightfall Campaign, talk to Nimbus and unlock the Unfinished Business quest. Now, head to the Hall of Heroes on Neomuna Planet. Head toward the door and interact with the Approach Prompt to initiate the cutscene.
Step 2
For the next step, head back to Nimbus and interact with her. After the interaction, you will unlock Step 3 in which you need to recover Rohan’s Data Packets.
Step 3
Open the map and travel to Liming Harbor region on Neomuna Planet. There, you have to collect 5 Cloud Accretion to extract Rohan’s Data. Each Cloud Accretion requires 8 Cipher Qubits for you to interact with it. That means you need to collect a total of 40 Cipher Qubits to collect 5 Cloud Accretion. Quibits are obtained as a drop after eliminating a Vex.
Step 4
In step 4, you are given the task of obtaining the final data packet in Maya’s Retreat region on Neomuna. Further, follow the quest marker to reach the Maya’s Retreat and Recover the Data Packet.
Step 5
After that, you will encounter a wave of incoming enemies. Use your combat skills to defeat them and finally recover the Final Data Packet at Maya’s Retreat.
Step 6
You are now halfway done completing the Unfinished Business quest in Destiny 2. Upon completing step 5, head over to the Radiosonde region on Neomuna Planet & regroup with Osiris and Nimbus. Exhaust the dialogues to unlock step 7 on your way to complete the Unfinished Business quest.
Step 7
In this part, you will be heading back to Liming Harbor on the northern end. Therein, you will be entering the Thrilladrome Lost Sector and retrieve back a Vex Compass. PS – Use the Ventillation Shaft to break inside the Thrilladrome Lost Sector.
Step 8
Head over to Ahimsa Park and defeat the Legion Troops.
Step 9
Once you have defeated the Shadow Legion Troops, head to the Typhon Imperator region. From there, you are required to obtain the Seed of Silver Wings. Here, you will reach a ship that can be seen in Ahimsa Park during campaign missions. Simply use the quest markers to locate and find the Seed of Silver Wings.
Step 10
Return to Strider’s Gate on Neomuna Planet & talk with Nimbus. You shall now receive Rohan’s Passkey so that you can enter Black Garden. Also, please keep in mind that you need an empty heavy slot in your Inventory to pick up the Passkey.
Step 11
After that, complete the “What Remains” quest by heading over to Maya’s Retreat. During this side mission, you will find and collect the Deterministic Chaos Exotic Machine Gun in Destiny 2. Once you collect the Deterministic Chaos from Nimbus, beat the Conceptual Mind Boss Fight to complete the “What Remains” quest.
Step 12
After beating Conceptual Boss, take its memory core to Nimbus at Strider’s Gate. Last but not least, go back to the Hall of Heroes to initiate the final cutscene. After which, you will successfully complete the Unfinished Business Quest in Destiny 2.
