Ubisoft is continuing its support of COVID-19 efforts in India. Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune have lent their support to TATA Trusts and donated medical equipment to local NGOs and hospitals in India.
Donation to TATA Trusts
TATA Trusts is one of India’s oldest and most prominent philanthropic organizations, under the umbrella of the TATA group. Ubisoft’s donation has been channeled to their “One against Covid” project, which focuses on building infrastructure and capacity of hospitals and health care centers across India with the purpose of ensuring that they are fully equipped to respond to the pandemic. A need analysis and infrastructure assessment conducted on the hospitals in the state of Maharashtra identified areas of need in terms of bed capacity, medical equipment, oxygen readiness, capacity building for doctors and nurses, tools, and resources needed to combat Covid-19. TATA Trusts will direct funds, including those donated by Ubisoft, to address these specific needs and focus on capacity building and training.
Donation of medical equipment to local NGOs and hospitals
NGOs have played an important role in Covid-19 relief work in India. Ubisoft worked in collaboration with teams at Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune to identify NGOs and hospitals that have been working tirelessly to help local communities and donated medical equipment so that they can continue this vital work.
A total of 2,00,000 surgical masks, 4700 FFP2 masks, 100 oxygen monitors, and 99 frontal thermometers were donated to Bharatiya Samaj Seva Kendra (Pune), Sassoon General Hospitals (Pune), Holy Family Hospital (Mumbai), and Jaslok Hospital (Mumbai).
With the help of Ubisoft’s local support team, the equipment was delivered to these four NGOs and hospitals on 26th and 27th July 2021.
Other initiatives
Previously, Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai made donations to the Swasth and the Hemkunt Foundation. Ubisoft extended its support of these two organizations, which have been working to provide oxygen and other resources to help COVID-19 patients across the country.
- Ubisoft’s contributions helped Swasth procure 17 Units of High Flow Oxygen Concentrators – each one capable of supporting more than 550 patients.
- The donations also helped Hemkunt Foundation procure 32 units of oxygen cylinders and accessories kits (mask, humidifier, spanner, and pipe).
- These steps led to a significant movement of supplies to families and individuals affected by Covid-19.
