Final Fantasy IV is a massively multiplayer online RPG that can be played in PvE and PvP modes. While players improve their character, they gain better statistics by collecting EXP in the game. Additionally, the main battle gameplay does feature a combination of physical attacks, weapon skills, and magical attacks. The game had earlier introduced Logical Data Centers but there was no way to travel to other Logical Data Centers. However, patch 6.18 has brought on some interesting changes. So let’s check out this guide and see how to travel between Data Centers in Final Fantasy XIV.
How to Travel Between Data Centers in FFXIV
As July 5 brings patch 6.18, players will now be able to travel between data centers in FFXIV. Here’s how you can do the same in the game:
- Head over to the Character Selection screen and choose a character. Along with this select Visit Another Data Center from the subcommand menu.
- As a new window opens, select the data center and the world in which you want to travel.
- Once you select Proceed in the new screen, you will begin the data center travel process.
- As soon as the data center travel is completed successfully, you will be able to log in to the new data center and the world you selected.
Things to Remember for Travel Between Data Centers
Although you can travel between data centers, there are a few restrictions and things that you must remember:
- While travel between Logical Data Centers will now be possible, you still cannot travel between Physical Data Centers.
- Data Center travel cannot be stopped midway once it is initiated.
- Time consumption in between travel depends on the congestion in the data center you are traveling to. In certain cases, travel is canceled on its own.
- Data Center travel can only be done from Home Data Center. If you wish to change the data center, you will have to return back to your Home Data Center and travel to the new data center.
