S Tier – Khorne (Best Faction in Total War Warhammer 3)

Khorne is the best faction in Total War Warhammer 3, rightfully earning its place in Tier A of this list. This particular faction places its strength in melee and raw damage. This gives it the ability to destroy the attacks of an opponent in little next to no time.

A+ Tier – Legion of Chaos Faction in Total War Warhammer 3

The Legion of Chaos is another great faction you can use when playing TWW 3. It consists of a heavily-customizable Daemon Lord, along with the versatility to easily combine with the rest of the factions in this tier list. Doing so can enable you to create a strong hybrid army.

A Tier – Ogre Kingdoms

If you purchase Total War: Warhammer 3 within its first week, you can actually receive Ogre Kingdoms for free. This faction features strong monsters and beasts. However, they also are susceptible to enemies because of their sole infantry unit, the Gnoblars.

B Tier – Kislev

The first human faction in this TWW 3 tier list, the Kislev are a great choice if you are new to the game. You will also most likely be playing with them during the prologue of the game. This faction prefers to approach battles in a hybrid fashion, consisting of melee, missile, spellcasting, and cavalry units. What results, is great versatility and agility in the attack.

C Tier – Nurgle

The Nurgle faction in this Total War Warhammer 3 tier list tries to cripple the opponent with poison attacks. This unique style of attack helps slow down the enemy before they eventually get slower and lose their defensive stability.

D Tier – Slaanesh

The Slaanesh faction places special focus and emphasis on speed and ferocity. However, you will need to be prepared to trade this agility for a relatively weaker defense. Additionally, you will also notice a lack of energy in stamina in your forces quite quickly.

F Tier – Tzeentch

Tzeentch are armed with powerful spellcasting abilities, along with missiles and flying units. They use these abilities in a ferocious magical combination to expose the enemy’s defense. This faction, however, does not have a strong protective barrier, making it very susceptible to attacks.

F Tier (2) – Cathay

Cathay is a human faction, quite similar to Kislev. Here, too, you will receive a vast range of different unit types. While there is the possibility of several units combining together to add strength, you also need to be prepared to suffer damage. This is because these units are closely-knit with the Harmony Trait. This means that either the Yin or the Yang trait gets applied to every unit in the Cathay faction.

So there you have it. This was our tier list of the best factions in Total War. As you can see, the best factions here will offer you great support, along with powerful attacks and robust defenses. We recommend you stay away from the factions in tier C and below, as these do not offer much value.
