how to farm dark souls 3 titanite chunks

Titanite Chunk is an upgrade material that you get in Dark Souls 3 to reinforce your weapons. Finding this resource can be hard if you go blindly. But once you learn about it you can see that farming it is not so tough. In fact, there are many ways you can get your hands on this resource. So in this guide let us check how to farm Titanite chunks in Dark Souls 3 (DS3).

How to Get Titanite Chunks in Dark Souls 3

The best way to farm Titanite Chunks in this game is to buy them from Shrine Handmaid. This method to farm these chunks can be quite costly as you need to spend 13000 souls to get 1 Titanite Chunk. Other than that you can also eliminate enemies or find them throughout the world. These are all the ways to get Titanite Chunks in DS3:

    • Buying from Shrine Handmaid
    • Killing Enemies to farm them
    • Trading with Pickle Pee, Pump-a-Rum Crow
    • Searching the World

    Let us check them all.

    Buying from Shrine Handmaid

You can start buying Titanite Chunks from the Shrine Handmaid after you give her the Dragon Chaser’s Ashes.

    1. Travel to Great Belfry.
    2. Go left from the bonfire.
    3. You can either eliminate every enemy here or go left to avoid them. It is best if you eliminate them or you can use the latter strategy if you have no souls to lose.
    4. Head for the giant room-like structure then go left to towards the tree or balcony-like area.
    5. Here you will be attacked by a Rock Lizard.
    6. Eliminate or run past it and head down and you will find the Dragon Chaser’s Ashes.
    7. Return to the Firelink Shrine and give the Ashes to Shrine Handmaid.
    8. After this, you can start buying Titanite Chunks from her. It costs 13000 souls for 1 Titanite Chunk.

This might not be the best farming method for everyone. But if you are looking for a guaranteed way to farm Titanite chunks in Dark Souls 3 then this method is for you. You will find it especially useful if you have a lot of souls or at least a way to farm them. So get your best weapons out and be ready to slay several enemies if you want to collect souls for this item.

    Killing Enemies to farm them

There are multiple enemies that drop this upgrade material when defeated. Here are some of them and the locations where you can find them:

    • Consumed King’s Garden
      • Cathedral Knights
      • Hollow Slave
      • Pus of Man
    • Untended Graves
      • Cathedral Grave Wardens
    • Archdragon Peak
      • Serpent-man
    • Lothric Castle
      • Lothric Knights
      • Cathedral Knights
    • Grand Archives
      • Ascended Winged Knight

Remember, when you kill them it is not a guaranteed drop. There is a chance of it, so while you will get souls, don’t expect them to drop a Titanite Chunk every time.

Trading with Pickle Pee, Pump-a-Rum Crow

Another way to get Titanite Chunks in this game is to trade them with the Pickle Pee, Pump-a-Rum Crow NPC. You can trade a Black Firebomb or a Rope Black Firebomb in exchange for a Titanite Chunk.

Go to the roof of the Firelink Shrine to find this NPC.

    Searching the World

Lastly, while exploring the game’s world you can find it in several areas like Archdragon Peak, Smouldering Lake, Consumed King’s Garden, and more.

How to Use Titanite Chunks in Dark Souls 3

As explained before, you can use the Titanite Chunks to reinforce your weapons from level +7 to +9. Here is the number of Titanite Chunks you will need for each level:

    • 2 Titanite Chunks: +7
    • 4 Titanite Chunks: +8
    • 6 Titanite Chunks: +9

That covers everything you need to know about Titanite Chunks in DS3 and how to farm & use them. If this guide was useful and you need help with other games then be sure to check out Gamer Tweak for more such guides.
