Could THQ Nordic work behind closed doors on the cult shooter title of TimeSplitters 2 Remake? The players came across a possible clue in SpellForce 3: Fallen God. However, nothing has been officially confirmed so far.
In the summer of 2018, the publisher THQ Nordic secured the rights to the popular shooter brand TimeSplitters. It goes without saying that rumors and speculations about a possible comeback of the TimeSplitters series were not long in coming.
To the much delight of the fans, however, shortly after THQ Nordic took over the trademark rights, this topic became very quiet – until today. Currently, there are rumors about a possible new edition of TimeSplitters 2 Remake again.
According to reports, the items that relate to games from THQ Nordic were discovered by the players in SpellForce 3: Fallen God. Items related to previously published or at least announced games such as Biomutant, the Gothic remake, or SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom were found.
Interestingly, there is also an item in SpellForce 3: Fallen God that relates to the TimeSplitters 2 Remake. Could the developers have just made a joke here? Or is there actually a tangible hint of a possible remake for the game hidden behind it all?
THQ Nordic itself has not yet wanted to comment on the current rumors. Stay tuned to get more information on the remake of TimeSplitters 2 only on GamerTweak.com.
