The Last of Us 2: Abby DLC Possibly Teased?

Published Date :

The actors who have lent their faces to the game’s characters are returning to work on the Naughty Dog title. Is Abby DLC coming to The Last of Us 2?

After the incredible success of The Last of Us 2 on PlayStation 4, fans of the franchise are in a state of excitement in anticipation of new content regarding the masterpiece of Naughty Dog.

And Derek Phillips, the actor who lends his face to Abby’s father, seems to have satisfied them. In fact, on his Twitter account, he recently posted a photo that portrays him again at work on the title, dressed in motion capture equipment, and with the caption “Back to work!!!.”

Naughty Dog has already stated that no DLC is planned for this sequel, although we know that a standalone multiplayer game will most likely arrive in the future. However, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating, and many players assume that the tweet may refer to some unannounced Abby DLC that will be focused on Abby’s character coming to The Last of Us 2, perhaps exploring the character at 360 degrees.

In particular, it seems some fans wouldn’t take this news very well. “No please God. Anything but a fucking Abby backstory DLC. I will literally sh*t myself if it has anything to do with Abby,” tweeted a shocked player under the image posted by Derek Phillips. Fuel on Fire was added after Neil Druckmann, creative director of The Last of Us Part 2 and vice president of Naughty Dog, liked Phillips’ tweet.

Does this mean that The Last of Us 2 is going to have a DLC? Or could it simply mean that Phillips will have a role in the future multiplayer mode? Anyway, we hope that the tweet is linked to a Naughty Dog project, because we await new information on the multiplayer mode of the title.

Recently, during last September, at The Last of Us Day celebrations, Druckmann tweeted a cryptic message to fans:

Thank you to all the wonderful fans for an incredible #TheLastofUsDay! Your positivity and love is incredibly inspiring. Oh… and about that other thing… be patient. It’ll be worth it.
