Although it was a surprise when Tekken 8 was announced in September 2022, it’s not a surprise that players are looking for the release date, character list, and other speculations surrounding the game. Tekken 8 Release Date
Although it is not official, it is unlikely that the game will be released before late 2023. The realistic expectation for Tekken 8 release date is sometime in early 2024 around March or April. Since the game is being made in Unreal Engine 5 from scratch, it would only make sense that they release it in 2024 or else the game might get unnecessarily rushed.
Keep in mind, the official date is not out yet but the trailer was enough to give fans a soothing sight.

Tekken 8 Trailer
Although it is unlikely that you might have missed it, here’s the first trailer of the game that was released back in September 2022. As you can see, the trailer is owned by Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima as they battle it out. And if the disclaimer is any indication, this might be close to the graphics that we can expect once the game releases.
Tekken 8 Story
The trailer has been careful to not give up much in terms of the story. The ending of Tekken 7 indicated that the story will continue around Jin Kazama as he looks to end this battle once and for all by defeating Kazuya Mishima. On the other hand Kazuya defeated Heihachi while the war between Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corporation continues to ravage the world.
The Tekken 8 story is likely to continue in these terms but we will find out more once new game footage release. The story also features Jun Kazama, the mother of Jin who was last seen in Tekken 2. However, it’s not confirm as to what role she will be holding.
