One of the toughest decisions to make during Needle Knight Leda’s questline is suggesting anyone NPC between Hornsent or Thiollier in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. This segment briefly happens after Miquella’s Great Rune (his enchantment) is broken. Next, Needle Knight Leda questions Hornsent and Thiollier’s loyalty toward “Kindly Miquella.”
As the great helper, you must suggest Leda choose Hornsent or Thiollier. So, accordingly, she can make a decision and weed out a potential threat to Miquella and his devoted followers. Choosing any of the two NPCs has consequences you might want to know about. Therefore, we have created this guide so you can decide the most appropriate choice between Hornsent and Thiollier in Elden Ring.
Who Should You Suggest Between Hornsent and Thiollier to Leda in Elden Ring
Before we explore the consequences, it should be noted that Leda will only come to one conclusion: eliminating Hornsent. Even if you suggest Thiollier, she will deny and decide that Hornsent can threaten Miquella and his followers.
Anyway, this is what will happen if you still suggest either Hornsent or Thiollier to Leda in Elden Ring:
- Suggest Thiollier: As mentioned, suggesting Thiollier to Leda will do nothing. Since Thiollier is highly devoted to St. Trina, which is the same thing as being devoted to Miquella, Leda will spare him. This means that Thiollier is not an actual threat to them.
- Suggest Hornsent: Suggesting Hornsent to Leda will be somewhat convincing as she will take some time to think about it. With that said, when you return to her after a long rest, she will make up her mind and decide to eliminate Hornsent.
- Suggest None: If you decide otherwise, Leda will still consider eliminating Hornsent. So, no matter whom you suggest, Hornsent will remain the main culprit for Leda.
The aftermath of suggesting Hornsent leaves you with two choices thereafter – side with Hornsent or Needle Knight Leda. Keep in mind that whoever you choose, the other will be eliminated, and so the quests related to them will end, too. Once you reach the Shadowkeep, you can summon and assist either Hornsent or Leda. Accordingly, you can summon any of these two and start a boss fight.
If you assist Leda, Hornsent will die, and you will be rewarded with Falx, Caterpillar Mask, Braided Cord Robe, Braided Arm Wraps, and Soiled Loincloth. Later, when you rest at the Site of Grace and talk to Leda, she will reward you with a Lacerating Crossed-Tree Talisman. On the other hand, if you side with Hornsent and kill Leda, you will receive Ash of War: Swift Slash and Leda’s Rune (40,000 Runes). Moreover, you will also be able to summon Hornsent later during the boss fight with Messmer.
