Published Date :

Players will spend a major chunk of Subnautica Below Zero exploring the underwaters just like the previous installment. The underwater mechanics are similar to its predecessor but there are a lot of new resources and other survival items added in Subnautica below zero. Players often need to visit the surface to get some heat, one of the ways to get heat is coffee. Thermos is a cup that can be used to hold coffee and other drinks in the game. Let’s see how to use Thermos in Subnautica Below Zero.

How To Use Thermos In Subnautica Below Zero?

Players can get access to the Thermos as soon as they unlock the coffee machine. Once they have unlocked the coffee machine it will say “You look like you could use some coffee”. This is when you place the Thermos under it, in 17 seconds it will fill the Thermos with coffee. Consuming coffee will add +50 to your temperature (increase your heat points by 50. Having coffee will also decrease your water level by 2, so don’t have too much coffee. Players can put a maximum of two Thermos in the coffee machine at once.

To unlock the coffee machine you will have to scan a coffee machine anywhere in the game, this will fetch the blueprint of the coffee machine. Now all you have to do is come back to the Phi robotics center and use the blueprint to build your coffee machine. Building a coffee machine is important as it is one of the few sources of heat in Subnautica below zero and allows you to spend more time underwater. The coffee machine will speak out instructions so it won’t be difficult to use or to build.
