Escape From Tarkov: How To Split Ammo

Published Date :

Escape from Tarkov is all about an ultimate battle between two private military companies in the Norvinsk region. While EFT has some complex mechanics, it can affect the battlefield. One of these things includes the right ammo and inventory management. It’s useless to fight a war without ammo, right? With a mechanic to split your ammunition, you can also save some bullets for your friends. So, here’s our guide on how to split ammo in Escape from Tarkov.

How to Split Ammo in Escape from Tarkov

All you need to do is drag the ammo by pressing the CTRL key and place it in an empty inventory slot. As you place the ammunition in the inventory, it will get divided into two parts. Follow these steps:

  • Head to your gear inventory menu and select the ammo you want to split.
  • Hold down the CTRL key as you select the ammo and place it in an empty inventory slot.
  • As you place it in the slot, the selected ammunition will be split in two.

But you need to make sure that there is enough space in your inventory.

Why Should you Split Ammo?

The answer to this question is quite simple. Splitting ammunition ensures that your ammo is reserved and safe in the inventory. You can grab the required ammo whenever you need it. This is a pretty smart move because you can lose all the gear and ammunition if you die on the battlefield. So, having a backup can be quite handy. Also, if your friends run out of ammo supplies, you can share your scavenged ammunition with them.

That’s everything covered about how to split ammo in Escape from Tarkov. If you liked this guide, check out more guides on the best escape from Tarkov keys, best shotgun ammo, and how to beat Tagilla in Escape from Tarkov right here on Gamer Tweak.
