During the 23rd Main Quest, The Helm of Urtkot, you will be heading inside the Collector’s Cave, also known as the Witch’s Tomb. In this quest, you will come across a Moth Puzzle that you will have to spin to progress further. However, no tutorial explains the steps to solve this puzzle. So, what can you do to solve the Moth Puzzle inside the Witch’s Tomb in Hogwarts Legacy? Don’t worry, we got you covered. Here is everything you should know.
How to Solve the Moth Puzzle in Hogwarts Legacy?
Upon entering the Witch’s Tomb/Collector’s Cave, you will be given the task to Search the Tomb for the Helmet. However, your path to moving forward is obstructed by a locked door with a moth puzzle on it. You will have to spin that Moth Puzzle to head further into the Tomb in Hogwarts Legacy. There’s a total of 4 moth puzzles inside the Witch’s Tomb. In order to spin it, you will have to find Magical Moths nearby and drag them to the door.
The Moths can be brought to the Puzzle Door by using the Lumos Spell. Here’s how you can spin and solve all the 4 moth puzzles in the Witch’s Tomb:
1st Moth Puzzle
To spin the 1st Moth Puzzle, head over to the left side of the door. You will find a magical moth there. Simply, use Lumos to attract that Moth and bring him straight to the door. Once near the puzzle, it will automatically fit into the door. Doing so will unlock the door for you.
2nd Moth Puzzle
For solving the 2nd Moth puzzle, you will have to find 3 moths. Now, 2 of them can be found on both sides of the door. Whereas, the 3rd Magical Moth can be found behind a destructible
wall.
3rd Moth Puzzle
After spinning the 2nd Moth, you will encounter Inferius (zombie enemies). So, you will have to defeat them to move to the next Moth Puzzle. Solving the 3rd Moth Puzzle inside the Collector’s Cave is a bit different. Here’s what you need to do:
- You will find 2 Moths inside the room. Place any one of those moths on the door.
- Cast Lumos and place the second moth on the structure in the middle of the room.
- Further, stand on the platform on the right side.
- Spam Depulso so that that platform gets elevated.
- On the platform above, you will find another Moth. Use Lumos to place it on the door puzzle.
- Take the third Moth from the structure in the middle of the room.
- Place it in the Moth Puzzle to open the Door.
4th Moth Puzzle
Spinning the 4th Moth Puzzle in the Helm of Urtkot quest of Hogwarts Legacy is a lot tricky. Hence, we will be breaking it down into the following steps:
- There are multiple Moths inside the room.
- Select any of the moths and place them on the Moth structure.
- Stand on the elevator next to it and spam Depulso to elevate the platform.
- On the right side of the Moth Puzzle Door, there are 2 Moths.
- Cast Lumos again and place them on the door.
- For the next step, jump back on the ground to attract a Moth using the Lumos spell.
- Place it on the structure located to the left side of the Moth Puzzle Door on the ground. It will automatically elevate to the level of the Moth Puzzle Door.
- Now, stand on the elevator platform and spam Depulso.
- Use the Moth on the left side of the Moth Puzzle Door to spin it.
Finally, all the Moth Puzzle Doors are now solved and you are good to go inside the Witch’s Tomb in Hogwarts Legacy.
