Spider-Man PS4 Save Game Data Transfer Confirmed for PS5 Remaster

The Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered included in the Ultimate Edition of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is one of the launch games for the PS5, can be expanded with the save game data of the original after an update. A few weeks ago, the developers ruled out the transfer.

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games caused frustration for the owners of Marvel’s Spider-Man a few weeks ago. Thanks to Spider-Man Remastered, the title can be played in a renewed version on the PS5. But at that time it was said that the memory status would remain on the old consoles.

After the developers had to reap a lot of criticism, a tweet followed today that should lighten the mood again. With an update, Marvel’s Spider-Man will be expanded to include save game transfer. This means that owners of the remastered version, which is part of the Ultimate Edition of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, can pick up in the new version where they left off on the PS4.

But not only the save game transfer is brought to the original with the update. The owners of this edition can also prepare for the suits announced for the Remastered Edition.

Insomniac Games in today’s tweet said that “We have heard you – in an upcoming update for #SpiderManPS4, we will add the ability to export your save to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. This update will also add the three new suits from Remastered to the PS4 game. We expect to bring you this update around Thanksgiving.”

Another point of criticism has not yet been resolved: Buying the Ultimate Edition of Spider-Man Miles Morales is so far the only way to get the remaster into your own possession. The price difference between the Standard and Ultimate Edition is currently around $20.

PS5 will be released on November 12, 2020, in the United States, Japan, and some other countries. The Xbox Series X/S was launched today on November 10th, 2020.
