Scorn is a first-person biopunk horror survival video game that features plenty of grotesque visuals. But the game also has a wide range of puzzles and challenges to complete. As you get inside the circular room, the first act of the puzzle will begin. That being said, several players are stumped as they are unable to get past the first puzzle of the first act. How to Solve Scorn’s First Puzzle – Crane Sliding Puzzle in Act 1-1
As you head to the end of the circular path, you will find two consoles. You need to interact with the right console to start with the puzzle. Along with these consoles, you will also see several pods on the wall. Upon interacting with the right console, you will be able to control the crane. You need to use the crane to place and release the glowing pods from the bottom right to the top left. But the only twist here is that you can place them only on the nodes.
As you have to use two of the pods, we have divided the movement sets into two sections. The right and the middle console.
Right Console Movement Set 1
- Move the crane down.
- Grab the 2 Pods and shift them to the extreme right.
- Lastly, release the pods to place them on the right corner nodes.
Right Console Movement Set 2
- Move the crane down to the single pod.
- Grab the pod and shift it to the corner right.
- Finally, move the pod up to the glowing node and release it.
Now, you need to exit the console and interact with the console in the Middle. Grab the pod that you placed on the glowing node and throw it away. This will trigger the pedestal in the middle to open up. You need to head back to the right console and interact with it, again.
Right Console Movement Set 3 – Solve Scorn’s First Puzzle
- Grab the 2 pods placed in the middle right corner and release them to the corner right below the glowing node.
- Then, grab the single pod in the third section below it and place it on its left node.
- Grab the single pod placed beside the corner-right node and place it in the right corner.
- Then, move the crane down, grab the single pod and place it where the previous pod was placed.
- Now, move the crane upwards, grab the single pod and place it on the empty node in the third section.
- For the rest of the nodes, grab the 2 pods placed in the bottom-left corner and release them on the right.
- Once you have shifted all the nodes to the right corner, you will find two pods placed vertically.
- You need to grab those 2 vertical pods and place them on the glowing node.
- Lastly, exit the console and interact with the middle console.
Middle Console Movement Set
As you move the console, grab the pod placed on the glowing node and release it on the chair in the middle column. This will trigger an animation sequence as the pod or egg, descends to the bottom. This egg has a creature inside the pod.
Once you complete the puzzle, you will have two choices. You can either kill the person or save them. You need to follow the descended egg to meet the creature inside it. While saving the creature will complete the Extraction achievement, killing it will unlock the Hand in hand achievement.
