Published Date :

The sequel to the slime farming game is out and it has some interesting new features and updates. Although it is still in early access, you can start your slimy adventure into the new Rainbow Island map as Beatrix LeBeau today. The latest installment in the series, as you may have guessed, brings a variety of different new items, slimes, recipes and a whole variety of resources for crafting. One resource you will require in the long run is Silky Sand as it is used to upgrade your inventory to a larger size. So in this guide we will breakdown how you can get Silky Sand in Slime Rancher 2.

Where to Get Silky Sand in Slime Rancher 2

You can find Silky Sand at numerous places on the map, but they’re all mostly outside the main island of the Rainbow Island map, where you first spawn. There are a couple of Silky Sand springs in the Starlight Strand and Ember Valley regions as well. These mostly spawn in locations with a sea shore. You can easily identify a Silky Sand as it looks like a brown-ish mud fountain. These are sandy water geysers that can be found more frequently next to large water bodies.

Once you find these fountains, all you need to do is use the Vacpack on these to collect as much as 20 Silky Sand easily. When you have enough Silky Sand for your needs, you can head to the Fabricator Laboratory and get the Vac Tank upgrade for an increase in inventory storage. You may need a few other ingredients for this upgrade, however, including Rock Plorts. You also need to spend 450 Newbucks for it.

An important thing to remember is that in order to be able to collect resources like Silky Sand, you need to craft and activate a Resource Harvester. This is one of the first things players need to do in order to collect any resources with your Vacpack.

That is everything you need to know on how to collect Silky Sand in Slime Rancher 2. If you found this article helpful and want more related content, check out this guide on where to find Heart Beet in this game.
