You should definitely save Nightsong in Baldur’s Gate 3 since it opens up your chances to romance Shadowheart. Apart from that, there are a few helpful rewards that players might need in the future. Shadowheart is a follower of Shar and if you save Nightsong, Shar will forsake her and she will become more open towards her relationship with you.
What Happens if you Save Nightsong?
Players will first have to pass the DC 21 Charisma check and if you are successful, Shadowheart will throw away the Spear of Night instead of plunging it into Nightsong. The Nightsong will then reveal herself as an Aasimar and one of Selune’s daughters. Here are all the rewards that players will get if they save Nightsong in BG3:
- Moonlight Glaive (rare)
- Selune’s Spear of Night (legendary)
- Shadowheart Romance will take a positive step.
What Happens if you Kill Nightsong?
Shadowheart will use the Spear of Night and kill Nightsong instantly and by doing so, she will be filled with Shar’s blessing for she is now a proven herself worthy. However, this decision has it’s fair share of consequences. Here are all rewards and consequences that players will get if they kill Nightsong in Baldur’s Gate 3:
- Shar’s Spear of Evening (legendary)
- Deaths –
- Art Cullagh
- Dammon
- Isobel
- Jaheira
- Shadowheart Romance will take a hit since she will now fully embrace being one of Shar’s chosen.
While the decision is completely yours, we found it is better to save Nightsong in BG3 since the rewards are far better than the consequences you must face if you kill her.
