A Plague Tale Requiem is the sequel to the previous installment, the Innocence. The Requiem is set during the 100 Years War timeline and features the siblings, Amica as well as Hugo. As they progress to survive against the hordes of rats and the French Inquisition, you will encounter several NPC characters to your aid. One of these includes the Herbalist that meets an unfortunate demise by the captors. Several players are wondering if they can aid this character in his death. But is there a way to save him? Check out our guide on how to save the Herbalist in A Plague Tale Requiem.
Can you Save the Herbalist in A Plague Tale Requiem?
The answer to that question is Yes, you can save the Herbalist from his captors. You need to use the Extinguish with a sling to put out their torch. But for that, you need some crafted resources to rescue him from the captors.
Follow the below steps to save the Herbalist in A Plague Tale: Requiem:
- You can loot the large chest under the church in the old ruined village to find these materials. You can find the chest to the right of the Statue of Mary.
- Once you have got the crafting materials, you need to craft the Extinguish with the Sling.
- You need to use the sling to put the fire at the entrance of the church. We suggest staying put and hidden until the two guards get in the range to attack.
- As one of the guards wanders a bit to left, use an Extinguish with the sling to extinguish his torch.
- Upon doing so, the hordes of rats will eat the guard alive.
- Now, this event will be followed by another guard investigating the guard leaving the Herbalist alone.
- As he goes there, you need to shoot another projectile with a sling to extinguish his torch. This will result in the other guard getting eaten by the rats alive.
Make a note that saving Herbalist doesn’t bag you any Achievement or Trophy. But it saves a chunk of dialogue wherein Amicia feels guilt for not saving him.
