The Druid Grove in Baldur’s Gate 3 presents a moral dilemma – save the young tiefling Arabella from the wrath of the militant druid leader Kagha, or allow the child to face punishment for her thievery. Players have limited options to intervene and save the child from being executed by Kagha’s snake. Successfully navigating this encounter and returning Arabella to her tiefling family is an early challenge in Act 1. We’ll show you how to complete the Save Arabella quest in BG3 successfully.
Save Arabella Quest in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)
When you first arrive at the Sacred Pool, you’ll witness a confrontation. Once the crowd clears, a tiefling couple on the stairs will explain that druids have captured their daughter Arabella for trying to steal a relic from the area. This starts a quest to rescue Arabella.
Go around the Sacred Pool to the west until you find a stone door leading to the Emerald Grove. Soon, you’ll spot the druid Kagha.
To save Anabelle, you’ll need to make an essential Skill Check after the cutscene plays out. Options may include:
- Make a Persuasion check to talk Kagha down. Classes like Monk may have an advantage on this roll.
- Make a Nature check to appeal to Kagha’s affinity for the grove’s creatures.
- Cast Detect Thoughts to uncover Kagha’s true motives.
Before you make your roll, be sure to do a quick save. If luck is not on your side, this will allow you to retry the scene. If you succeed, Kagha will release the girl.
Reward to Rescue Arabella in Baldur’s Gate 3
Regardless of whether you managed to rescue Arabella, go back and speak to her parents, Marricko and Locke.
If you save their daughter, they will give you a Cherished Locket amulet as a reward that can cast Dancing Lights. This finishes the quest to save Arabella. However, if she perished, telling them what happened completes the quest, but without obtaining any prize.
