A Home Run occurs when a Batter hits the ball in such a way that the Batter can go around the 4 Bases of the field without any interruption from the defending Team. As such, if the opponent hits a Home Run then it’s bad for us as they will get easy scores. If only there was a way to stop that. Well, there is a way, and it’s called robbing a Home Run. It’s a pretty easy technique to pull off once you get the flow of it. In this guide, I will show you how to Rob a Home Run in MLB The Show 22.
How to Rob a Home Run in MLB The Show 22
Before we can start getting into robbing a Home Run, we will have to set some settings first. Go to your Fielding Settings and set Catch Position Indicator to either Drifting Ball or Track Ball. Another Setting you will have to set is the Off the Wall Ribbon to ON. These should give your Fielders more chances to Rob a Home Run. Once these are set, here is what you will have to do.
Whenever a Batter hits a Home Run, there will be an Arrow Indicator with 3 levels on the Wall. That’s where the Ball is going to go, lock in the nearest Fielder and run to the Wall. As the ball gets closer to the Wall, The Arrow Indicator will cycle to green incrementally. Once the third Arrow is green you will have to:
- PS4 & PS5 – Press R1.
- Xbox One & Xbox Series X/S – Press RT.
- Nintendo Switch – Press ZR.
The Fielder will jump and catch the ball going for the Home Run. With a little practice, patience, & good-timing, you will be able to pull off the Rob a Home Run move pretty consistently.
