Artifacts in the Risk of Rain 2 are game rule changes. It is a hidden level that can be unlocked using a code. The code itself is hidden around various levels, you have to scan every nook and corner. By finding one you can unlock a new challenge that changes the gameplay. For example, an Artifact that can only spawn Elites.

Do you want to know how to unlock and find all artifacts in the Risk of Rain 2? There are tablets and codes around the map, finding them will give you access to the hidden artifact level in Risk of Rain 2. But this is not as easy as it sounds. It is challenging and sometimes requires a lot of explorations to find the Artifacts Code that can take you to the hidden realm.
Artifacts Codes in the Risk of Rain 2
To find the codes and tables, keep exploring the levels. you will have to search the levels for hidden codes. There are approx 16 artifacts in Risk of Rain 2.
The code is a 3×3 grid of circles, triangles, and diamonds carved on a stone. To unlock each artifact you will need a separate code. The first challenge is to find the code and then the second one is to win the level.
The code is hidden in the main stages, hidden stages, and even some are are displayed in the game menu. Some codes are split into two parts, stored separately. When you find anyone like the one shown in the image above, save it somewhere. You will need this code to access the portal.
How to use the Artifacts Code to unlock Bulwark’s Ambry?
To use the code play until the fifth stage – Sky Meadows. You will have to find a bottom area of the map by jumping into a massive opening. There are also other ways to reach here. Once you are in you will see a console and 3×3 grid on the left corner. This is where you have to insert the code to unlock a hidden Bulwark’s Ambry portal.
Walk towards the grid and insert the exact combination you saw on the tablets. If you haven’t found anything then look on the left top of the grid area and you will find a free code. After placing all the shapes properly walk towards the console and you will see a Red portal.
Enter and you will be in a hidden world called Bulwark’s Ambry. This is where you are going to play for the Artifact. If you pick the code on the left of the gird you will unlock “All enemies spawn Elites” level.
Whatever artifact you have selected to pay for will appear in a shield in the middle of the area. After dealing with the monster collect the yellow artifact key and interact with the shield in the center. This will activate the main boss who will start attacking you.
Ignore this one, and attack the other monsters in the realm. They will drop more yellow artifact keys, and use it to interact with the shield in the center. Watch out for the lasers, the keys will destroy the boss’s health releasing your final prize. Collect the artifact after breaking the shield and you will see what you have collected. Located in the Abandoned Aqueduct, look for a pillar near the Ancient Gate. The effect of this artifact is that it will enable friendly fire for players and monsters.

It is located in the Scorched Areas, look for a large floating island. This artifact make wisp appear from defeated enemies.

Located on a island in the middle of lake in Rallypoint Delta. The artifact doubles the monster spawn but their health is reduced to half.

This one is located in the Abyssal Depths, you will have to explore one of the floating islands. The effect of this artifact it makes monsters appear outside their usual enthronements.

It is located in the Sky Meadows, look for tablet on the right of the compound generator in a lower area of the map. The artifact will turn all the enemies into elites.

It is located in the Bazaar Between Time, explore the glass behind Newt. This artifact will allow you to choose your item.

Go to Gilded Coast, and look for a hidden small pond in the middle of the region. The artifact will make monsters to drop items on death, but at the cost of chest. Now chest will spawn.

It is located in Bulkwar’s Amrby. Look behind the giant cube. The effect of this artifact is that it will make random equipment spawn.

It is located in moment, Fracture look behind the obelisk. The artifact will increase 500% allies damage and 10% health.

In the same region a Moment, Fractured you will have to collect an Environmental Log. It is located on one of the floating island just below the starting point. You can open this log from the main menu and the code is at the bottom once you rotate it. The artifact will summon your doppelganger every 10 minutes.

Go to the game settings and you will see the code during the screen transition. It remains visible for a short time. The effect of this artifact is that it make enemies drop multiple exploding bombs.
