The full launch of V Rising brought numerous changes to the game and there is a new source to gain power that players can use. Rift Incursions in V Rising is a new game mechanic that players can take part in to get some useful rewards that will help them improve their abilities. However, players new to the game won’t exactly know where to find Rift Incursions and how they will function.
Rift Incursions are basically world events that will appear in a set location and players will get to test out their combat ability and get more rewards. The event appears in Ruins of Mortium and players will get an indicator on the map saying that an incursion is happening if they have built an Eye of Mortium. You will get the crafting recipe for the Eye of Mortium once you beat the boss General Elena the Hollow.
What Are Rift Incursions in V Rising?
Rift Incursions in V Rising are combat events where players will face off against waves of Dracula’s ancient vampires along with other monsters and enemies. While they are fighting off enemies in the area, players will also have to close rifts by destroying crystals and that includes killing the enemies guarding the crystals.
Do note that Rift Incursions occur at a high level and players will have to be at least Level 57 and above. Not only that but players will also need the best weapons and armor before they head to complete this event. Once players manage to defeat all the guards around the crystal, it will shatter and players will get Stygian Shards from each crystal that they break.
Once all the crystals are destroyed, players will get even more Stygian Shards and some Ancestral Weapon Shards from the boss at the end. Ancestral Weapon Shards are quite useful if players want to build Ancestral Weapons and they can even purchase more Shards from the vendors in Mortium by spending Stygian Shards.
