Rice Cocoons are Epic key items that you can get in Black Myth: Wukong and are described as offerings to the Silkworm Deity. You will require this resource to feed the Proto-Amourworm in order to unlock the Elder Amourworm Spirit and here’s where you can find the location to get Rice Cocoons.
Where to Find Rice Cocoons in Black Myth: Wukong Locations
You can find Rice Cocoons in the Webbed Hollow region and to get there, you must defeat the Second Sister boss in Village of Lanxi > Estate of the Zhu.
When you beat her and follow her into a hole, you can offer incense to activate the Upper Hollow shrine.
From here, keep exploring the location to find eggs and smash them. If you don’t get them at first, rest a Shrine and try again.
You can also turn right from the Webbed Hollow Cliff of Oblivion Keeper’s Shrine and then take another right to see plenty of eggs you can break to potentially find Rice Cocoons in Black Myth Wukong. Since you need at least 3 of them, this is the best location to farm them.
How to Use Rice Cocoons
- First, unlock the Ruyi Scroll secret area by defeating Chen Loong, Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw, and then talking to Xu Dog.
- When you take the Special-made Bone-Strengthening Pellet from him and give it to Chen Loong, the Ruyi Scroll area should be unlocked.
- From here, travel to Webbed Hollow > The Verdure Bridge.
- Cross the wooden bridge, make your way to the Elder Amourworm, and defeat him.
- This boss will drop the Proto-Amourworm key item along with Will, Silk, and Cold Iron Leaves.
- Now, deliver the Proto-Amourworm to Chen Loong at Zodiac Village > Village Entrance.
- He will be standing nearby, and you can interact with him after climbing the stairs you see near the shrine.
- Talk and choose the option to Deliver Proto-Amourworm and leave. Then rest at the Shrine and feed Rice Cocoons to this creature 3 times. This will give you the Elder Armourworm Spirit.
And there you have it! That is how to use the Rice Cocoons to unlock the Spirit which allows you to take the form of Elder Armourworm and spray venom from the tail to form poisonous pools on the ground, stacking Poison Bane on enemies who walk into them. Aside from the poison damage, it also slightly increases Critical hit CHance when poisoned.
