According to current rumors, Resident Evil Village will be cross-gen and could make it to the two current-gen consoles of PS4 and Xbox One. The well-known insider Dusk Golem is even 100% sure.
Resident Evil Village was announced for the two next-gen consoles of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as well as for the PC. But it won’t stop there if we can believe the insider Dusk Golem or AestheticGamer. He wants us to know that a launch for PS4 and Xbox One is also planned. He also brought up a possible release period.
The insider reported on Twitter that he can now “100% confirm game” that Resident Evil Village will be a cross-gen title. Corresponding rumors arose even before the next-gen versions were announced.
“I’ve said before that I know for a fact (before COVID) this game was launching a cross-gen game aiming for a January 2021 release date,” the insider said. “Let me just say I got 100% confirm the game is still cross-gen, that will be revealed soon, release date is still aiming for first-half 2021.” However, he now believes that the title will be launched in the first half of 2021.
