In the course of tonight, Capcom will give us an in-depth look at Resident Evil Village. The name and first details of the multiplayer component of the horror title could have been leaked before the official presentation.
After the unconfirmed message through the rumor mill in recent weeks that the latest title will be released with a separate multiplayer component just like Resident Evil 3, the references to the multiplayer of Resident Evil Village seem to be currently increasing.
In the run-up to today’s stream, for example, a product entry for Resident Evil Re: Verse appeared on Humble Bundle alongside Resident Evil Village. Even if the website linked to Resident Evil Re: Verse cannot currently be accessed, the first isolated details about the multiplayer mode of Resident Evil Village may have leaked out.
As is known, Capcom recently announced a beta for an unannounced multiplayer project. If we are actually dealing with Resident Evil Re: Verse, then the multiplayer mode supports four to six players.
In addition, within the scope of the description, there was talk of support for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and a beta that will start on January 28, 2021. It is speculated that Capcom would reveal all these things in today’s stream and, in addition to fresh impressions of Resident Evil Village, could also officially introduce Resident Evil Re: Verse.
Resident Evil Village has been confirmed for the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC so far and is slated for release this year. If the current rumors come true, then owners of a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One will apparently also be able to enjoy the horror adventure.
