According to an insider who is considered a reliable source, Resident Evil Revelations 3 is indeed in development. However, further details were not given.
A few days ago, those responsible at Capcom were confronted with a large-scale hacking attack and the resulting blackmail attempts. Since the company refused to pay the sums demanded by the hackers, numerous records from Capcom found their way onto the network.
Including leaks on selected titles that are currently in development. In the corresponding leaks, projects such as a remake for Resident Evil 4, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Monster Hunter 6, or completely new Resident Evil titles appeared, but no details have been given so far.
In addition, there was talk of a possible Resident Evil Outbreak 3, which could be found in the data sets. It was not known whether we were dealing with a remake of the existing parts or a completely new “Outbreak” adventure. If we believe the statements of a well-known insider, then this question does not arise anyway.
As the insider DuskGolem alias Aesthetic Gamer reports as a reliable source, there is no Resident Evil Outbreak 3 in development. Instead, we should be dealing with the project in question with Resident Evil Revelations 3.
DuskGolem could not or would not give further details about the successor. If the information provided by the insider is correct, we can assume that, in addition to a classic campaign, the cooperative raid mode will also be part of the game again.
Capcom itself continues to be silent and has not commented on the current leak.
It's Revelations 3, not Outbreak 3. I won't say more than that for now though. https://t.co/Yl6peklnbX
