Here is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX beginners guide that covers the Prologue mission where you will form a new team and rescue a cute little Caterpie Pokemon. During the first mission, you will learn to create your character, combat, map reading and more. Also after successfully completing the prologue, you will unlock rewards like Tiny Reviver Seed, Pecha Berry, and 500 Poke coins. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX Walkthrough – Prologue

You will begin by answering a few multiple-choice questions during the start of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX. This will help you to pick a Pokemon based on your answers. But if you are not happy you can change Pokemon in Rescue Team DX by selecting No, that isn’t right. This will allow you to pick a Pokemon of your choice, there are around 18 Pokemons. Below is the list of all playable Pokemons in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX.

  • Psyduck – Water
  • Squirtle – Water
  • Charmander – Fire
  • Bulbasaur – Poison
  • Pikachu – Electric
  • Meowth – Normal
  • Machop – Fighting

  • Cubone – Ground

After selecting your favorite Pokemon will be asked to pick a Partner. I think Pikachu will be one of the best team ally in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX.

How to rescue Caterpie in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX?

Saving Caterpie is the first mission in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX. After talking to Butterfree, you will start navigating the map. Starting from Tiny Wood B1F, follow the map to the right. Red marks on the map mean dangerous Pokemons. You will have to fight them, stairs are marked as white and Pokecoins as yellow. The first stair to Tiny Woods B2F is to the extreme right. Just keep walking the map will reveal itself.

How to restore HP in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX?

In Tiny Wood B2F you will fight with another Pokemon and get Poke coins which will help you to buy items in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX. Blue markers on the map are Oran Berry. Consuming Oran Berry will restore your Pokemon’s HP in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX. On the map look for blue icons, collect Oran Berry and press X to open the menu. Then select Bag and select the Oran Berry. Consume it to restore your HP your Pokemon will loose during the battle with other Pokemons. There is an auto mode in  Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX, press L to enable it.

Tiny Woods B3F – Caterpie Location

The third stairs on the left will take you to Tiny Woods B3F where you will find Caterpie. Defeat all the Pokemons on B3F, and then return back to the stairs. The first one is Pidgey near the stairs, walk south and you will find more pathways. Just follow the red markers, there will be three more Pidgey and finally Exeggcute near the stairs. Defeat them all and use the stairs to find Caterpie. This completes the first mission Rescue at Tiny Woods of  Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX.

Butterfree will be happy and you will earn the following rewards on rescuing Caterpie in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX.
