As a Steward, it’s your duty to ensure that people get enough food and live well in the harsh and cold postapocalyptic world. However, it’s not so easy, because you will come across multiple issues that lead to hunger. Here’s how you can lower Hunger in Frostpunk 2 and keep your people healthy.
How to Get More Food and Lower Hunger in Frostpunk 2
You can reduce hunger by focusing on these food-related problems:
- Food Scarcity
- Lack of Food-related Laws
- Boosting Food Production Efficiency
If you let the hunger levels rise, it will give rise to Diseases, loss of Trust, and high Tensions, eventually leading to Game Over.
To solve it before things go out of hand, first and foremost work on the scarcity of Food. Research Ideas that help you unlock buildings that boost Food output and that can be Hothouses under the Resources tab on the Idea Tree, Advanced Hothouses as well as Panaceum Factory under Society.
Then, work on passing Laws that will help with Food production such as Chemical Additives which can be found in the Resources tab.
However, there are downsides to it – when you increase Food Production Efficiency through this law, Disease is also marginally increased. Here’s how to keep Diseases in check.
Make sure you have enough Food Districts on Fertile soil and that you have expanded them. Research Idea Tree elements like Heat Overclocking, Apex Workers, Extraction Strongholds, Efficiency Bonuses, Unproductive Do Maintenance, Labour Oversight, Workers’ Village, Workers’ Dormitory and more to get better Production Efficiency for a higher food output.
You can send citizens to explore the lands in search of Food. Scouts can then look for harvesting areas that provide food and with the Harvester Hangers idea, you can increase the amount of food you receive by 20% which can come in handy in dire situations.
These are some of the common ways to get more food and reduce hunger in Frostpunk 2. Be sure to know how to manage Tensions so that your citizens are surviving well.
