Rarely Affectionate Part 1 & 2 In Honkai Star Rail (Complete Quest Guide)

While you are on a Trailblazing adventure, you’ll get Clara’s message on your phone asking for your help. If you decide to give her a visit, it’ll initiate the Rarely Affectionate quest that you can complete and receive rewards. This is Clara’s very first companion mission and divided into 2 parts. Here you’ll be helping out the shy little girl to get rid of a thief stealing parts. However, there’s more to this quest that’ll surely help you know Clara better. With that being said, let’s see how you can complete the Rarely Affectionate Quest Part 1 & 2 in Honkai Star Rail.

How to Complete Rarely Affectionate Quest in Honkai Star Rail

Here’s all you need to know about the Rarely Affectionate quest in Honkai Star Rail. As mentioned earlier, the mission is divided into 2 parts and both of them only unlock after fulfilling some requirements. For your reference below we have mentioned all the objectives of the quest to speed things up.

Rarely Affectionate Part 1

This part is unlocked once you reach Trailblaze level 29 or above and complete Venom Brews, Immortality Looms quest. Once you’re done with that, you’ll receive Clara’s message on your phone, which brings you to the Robot Settlement.

1. First, go ahead and meet Clara at Svarog’s base in Robot Settlement. She’ll express her distress about the thefts and ask you to help her out.
2. Once you accept the mission, start your investigation by questioning the witness in Vagrants Camp
3. Next, search for more clues by following the quest markers. And while going through the last clue you’ll hear an unusual sound.
4. And then you’ll come across the malfunctioning Gear Stealing robot who you have to fight with.
5. After that, head back to Svarog’s base and help Clara find the parts to repair the malfunctioning robot.
6. Simply head to Robot Graveyard and interact with Toby for assistance.
7. Keep following Toby until you find the part you are looking for. i.e. Robot Shell.
8. Once you obtain it head back to Clara at Svarog’s base and hand over the Robot Shell. And she’ll use it to repair the Gear Stealing robot.
9. However, the shell will appear to be incompatible which will again result in a battle with the Gear Stealing Robot.
10. And then, while Clara fixes the robot she’ll ask you to visit some other day.

That will complete the Rarely Affectionate Part 1 quest in HSR. Now without any further ado, let’s move on to the 2nd part.

Rarely Affectionate Quest Part 2 Honkai Star Rail

Rarely Affectionate Part 2 unlocks after you reach Trailblaze level 34 or above and complete the Sinners Misled, Credence Falsified quest. After that, you’ll receive a new message from Clara, that she is done repairing the little robot.

1. First, head back to Svarog’s Base and meet Clara. And then you’ll get to know the robot’s new name, Pascal.
2. Next, Clara will again ask you to help her find a compatible shell for Pascal at the machine graveyard.
3. And there you’ll come across an Automation Direwolf that you have to defeat to obtain a new Robot Shell.
4. After that, head back to Svarog’s base and use the new shell to fix Pascal.
5. However, the new shell will also be not compatible with Pascal and he’ll run away.
6. Now it’s yours & Clara’s responsibility to go to Rivet Town and find Pascal.
7. As soon as you reach there you’ll see a Patrolling Robot beating up Pascal for being a Fragmentum creature.
8. Go ahead and fight the Patrolling Robot and defeat it to obtain a new Robot Shell.
9. Once the transfer is done, Pascal will run off again and go to the workshop he was talking about.
10. Simply follow the markers and it’ll lead you to the Workshop that you have to investigate.
11. After that head back to Svarog’s Base and make the right choice about what should you do about Pascal.

Once you make the right choice the quest will mark the Rarely Affectionate Part 2 quest as completed in Honkai Star Rail. And you’ll receive your reward, which includes getting a visitor verification of Clara becoming a visitor to the Express. Below are the consequences of the choices you make.

Rarely Affectionate Quest Choices

• If you go with Svarog’s idea, which is to format and integrate Pascal, it’ll remove all his emotions.
• If you go with Clara’s idea, that is to install a core lock to restrict Pascal from harming the villagers. Then it’ll unlock the last Clara’s Companion quest No One is Answering in Honkai Star Rail. However, making this decision has its risks and might backfire. The risks are overwriting Pascal’s Memory or worst.
