How to Unlock Ranked Play Skins in COD MW2
Now, there are a total of 8 Skins in Ranked Play matches that you can unlock. While 6 of them unlock as a reward by progressing in Skill Division, the other 2 are a part of Rank Rewards. So, you can earn the following Skins through COD Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play:
- Ranked Play Rank Skins
- Ranked Competitor – Unlocks as a reward at Rank 5
- Ranked Veteran – Unlocks as a reward at Rank 50
- Ranked Play Skill Division Skins
- Gold Competitor – Finish Season 2 with Gold Skill Division
- Platinum Competitor – Finish Season 2 with Platinum Skill Division
- Diamond Competitor – Finish Season 2 with Diamond Skill Division
- Crimson Competitor – Finish Season 2 with Crimson Skill Division
- Iridescent Competitor – Finish Season 2 with Iridescent Skill Division
- Top 250 Competitor – Finish Season 2 while being in the Top 250 Players.
For those who don’t know, your progress in Skill Division is determined by the outcome of each match you play. If you win, you gain Skill Ratings, if you lose, you lose Skill Ratings. Further, there are a total of 8 Skill Divisions in COD Modern Warfare 2. Gaining Skill Ratings is necessary for a constant growth in Skill Division.
Besides Skill Division which fluctuates, the Ranks you obtained remains the same throughout the Season. It starts from Rank 1 to all the way up at Rank 50. Each Win in Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play earns you a star. Collecting stars will increase your Ranks. After every 5 Ranks between Rank 1-50, you will be given a symbol corresponding to your Skill Division’s color.
