Ubisoft’s Alexander Karpazis Answers Tough Questions About Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege has always tried to bring new content and exciting gameplay features to the players by reinventing the genre and with that, they have taken the game to new heights.

In a recent video posted by Wired, Ubisoft Montreal’s Alexander Karpazis answers questions related to the game and many other things, one of which being the Area 51 raid, the introduction of dual pistols and maybe the most controversial of those questions the introduction of a K-9 unit in the game.

Karpazis said, “This is something we’ve talked about for a while. But to answer your question, I have to ask you a question: are you okay with shooting a dog?”

Now we would have a huge issue if we were to shoot a dog in a video game as it always is unwanted and often sad, but this does bring up the question of introducing animal AI in video games.

Though shooting dogs in Rainbox Six Siege would be bad, but it would certainly add another dimension to the game and bring up tons of new strategies to the game.

This is a delicate issue that must be explored further before being implemented in the game, there are two sides to this argument and though it would be interesting to have more options it would also be morally wrong to have to kill a dog.
