The update 12.11 patch for Escape from Tarkov has finally released. This means that a large player base of the game will flock back to EFT to explore everything new that the update has to offer. This also means that you will get some long Tarkov queue times. So, if you are one of those players who is getting long matching times or the queue is stuck on matching and it’s taking forever, this is what you need to know.
How to Fix Escape from Tarkov Long Matching & Queue Times 2024
The reason for the long matching and queue times in Tarkov is due to the huge influx of players and high server load. Due to the fact that Battlestate didn’t reveal the official changelog initially, players were curious to discover the major changes themselves. This understandably caused a server overload which affects the Tarkov queue times. The developers usually resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Due to this reason, players are reporting very high queue times. Do note that Battlestate games has tweeted about such an issue previously.
Just a reminder – don't select only one server via launcher. It can lead to long matching times. Select 3-4 servers or better use "Auto" option #EscapefromTarkov

If the tweet doesn’t load for you, here’s what it says – Don’t select only one server via launcher because it can lead to long matching times. What you need to do is choose 3 or 4 servers which will help to reduce the queue time. You can also use the Auto option for the same.
So if you wondering why the EFT Matching time is taking forever, this is the reason. Try out the aforementioned tip to reduce the matching time and hope that it works out. Otherwise, patience is key. But if you see the queue time is as big as 40+ minutes, it’s best to close the game and start it again.
