Genshin Impact Pufferfish Location

Published Date :

The Pufferfish forms part of the many new elements of Genshin Impact’s 2.1 update, but it will not be present in just about any location in the game. Just like the Raimei Angelfish, this fish too can only be found in certain areas. It also has a very specific preference when it comes to bait. In this guide, we will show you the different locations of this fish.

One of the most easiest and reliable locations you will find the Pufferfish in Genshin Impact is Mondstadt. Here, you will have the opportunity to find these fishes in two different places. One of them is located on the shore directly to the south of Mondstadt. The other spot is located close to the Dawn Winery. You will find this spot on an island that is located to the southeast of the winery.

The next location you can find this fish in is the Liyue Harbor. Once you are here, you should head towards the southwest to fish for Pufferfish.

You will find the rest of the locations in and around the Inazuma islands in the game. You can head to the northern tip of Nazuchi Beach to catch some Pufferfish. This particular location is right in the middle of the Yashiori and Tatasuna islands. The other location is a spot right inside Ritou Harbor in Narakumi Island. You can also find these rare fish in and around Seirei Island. Unlike most other rare fish, the Pufferfish does not have a specific timeframe within which you need to catch them. You can catch these fish at any time of the day.

Once you spot these unique fish in the locations mentioned earlier in this guide, you will also need to catch them. As we said earlier, only specific types of bait attract this fish, just like the Raimei Angelfish. The Pufferfish is attracted to the Fake Fly Bait in Genshin Impact. You can acquire this bait by purchasing its crafting recipe from Nantuck of the Mondstadt Fishing Association. You will need to spend 3 Medaka fishes to get this bait. The Fly Bait is made up of 1 Sakura Bloom and 1 Horsetail.

These were all of the locations you can find the Pufferfish in Genshin Impact. If you go to these mentioned locations and use the right bait, you will be able to catch these fish rather easily. Once you catch the fish, you can also use it for its meat too.
