Psychonauts 2: How To Use Thought Tuner

Published Date :

Psychonauts 2 revolves around Raz entering the minds of others using his psychic abilities. But finding the stray thoughts, in reality, is equally important. The ideal gadget you need to find these stray thoughts and make them nodes is the Thought Tuner. So here’s how to use Thought Tuner in Psychonauts 2.

How to Find & Use Thought Tuner in Psychonauts 2?

Get & Use Thought Tuner in Psychonauts 2

To use Thought Tuner in Psychonauts 2, you need to hold the “T” button on PC, and press Left D-Pad in PlayStation & Xbox, while you are in the real world. To get the Thought Tuner, you need to go to Otto Mentallis’s workshop outside Motherlobe and then speak to Otto. Thought Tuner consists of a headset and a radio-like tuner. With the Thought Tuner, you can find any stray thoughts in the reality. You can use the tuner to concentrate on them to convert them as nodes, and then use your Mental Connection ability to catch these nodes.

You will not be able to use Thought Tuner inside any mind or brain, as those are full of stray thoughts. So you can only equip Thought Tuner gadget in the real world. Thought Tuner helps you to access areas that were previously inaccessible to you. Thought Tuner gives out a short beep when a stray thought is in the area. So you will need to equip your Thought Tuner and find these thoughts in what essentially will be a hot or cold game. You will hear louder beeps the closer you move towards the stray thoughts. It will give smaller beeps as you go far from stray thoughts. If the Thought Tuner gives out red color, instead of green, it means that no stray thoughts are nearby in the area.
