Psychonauts 2: How To Use Smelling Salt To Exit Brains

Updated Date :

Psychonauts 2 revolves around Raz entering the minds of others using his psychic abilities. But it is also important to know how to exit from those minds once you find it necessary. The new sequel uses the same Smelling Salts items to exit from other’s minds just as in the previous game. But this time it might seem a bit confusing for both new players and players returning to the series after a while. So let’s look at how to get & use Smelling Salts in Psychonauts 2.

How to Get & Use Smelling Salt in Psychonauts 2?

You can use Smelling Salt in Psychonauts 2 by going to the pause menu and selecting the “Exit Brain” option. Raz will now take out a golden-colored container and crakes it open to sniff the horrible smell. The smell is so strong it will push him out of his astral projection and back to the last location in reality.

How to Get & Use Smelling Salts in Psychonauts 2

To get Smelling Salt in Psychonauts 2, you have to speak with Sasha Nein about Operation Lady Luctopus. She will then give you Smelling Salts. Once you use the Smelling Salt you will exit a person’s brain or mind immediately. This is really useful if you find a level that is not interesting enough and need to get back to reality. You can also use this technique to replay levels you desire in the game.

Smelling Salts help you to quickly step out of the campaign missions and explore the side quests without any issue. Smelling Salts help you to explore the otherwise somewhat linear world of Psychonauts. So to get the most out of the game, make sure to use Smelling Salts as much as you need to take a break from the levels you get stuck or feel are repetitive.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get and use Smelling Salt in Psychonauts 2. While you are here make sure to check out our Video Games Guide for more tips & tricks like this.
