    What Does Psychic Terrain Do?

    What Does Psychic Terrain Do?

Psychic Terrain was introduced back in Gen VII and the psychic type move used properly can significantly increase your chance to win in Pokemon SV. However, not everyone is aware of all of the move’s abilities. The non-damaging move creates a psychic field that replaces the background environment where it lasts for around 5 turns.

Psychic Terrain is available for players in Pokemon SV with the help of TM138. Since the move affects all the Pokemon on the field, learning everything about the non-damaging ability becomes more important. With that being said, if you are looking to learn the move and don’t know what exactly it is, then here is everything you need to know about it.

As mentioned before, Psychic Terrain is a non-damaging move that creates a psychic field that replaces the background environment and it lasts around 5 turns. The move boosts the power of Psychic Type moves by 30% which can deal extensive damage for the upcoming turns. Along with it, the moves also protect Pokemon on the ground from priority moves like Quick Attack or Sucker Punch etc.

This can be handy as priority moves cannot be blocked and can deal a healthy amount of damage to your Pokemon. However, you will soon find out that abilities that target all Pokemon won’t be blockable even with Psychic Terrain in play. These moves include Earthquake, Magnitude, etc.

Alongside rendering priority moves ineffective and boosting the power of Psychic Type moves, Psychic Terrain also lets you turn Nature Move into Psychic Type. This can immediately prove to be beneficial as the normal type of move becomes a different damaging move depending on the environment. Not to mention, it also turns non-damaging moves like Camouflage and Mimicry into Psychic Type movesets.

    All Psychic Terrain Pokemon

There are some Pokemon like Indeedee and Calyrex that learn Psychic Terrain at specific levels. However, most of the others need the TM138 to learn the psychic type non-damaging move. Here is a list of all the Pokemon that can learn Psychic Terrain in Pokemon SV:
