PS5: How to Stream Games Using Twitch on the Next-Gen Console

With the PS5 you can once again stream your own gameplay via Twitch. A guide reveals how you can share your gripping game scenes with the world.

Since yesterday, the PS5 has been available in various markets such as the USA and Japan, while in other countries they will be supplied on Thursday, November 19, 2020. However, the editors of the PlayStation Blog have already published a guide that explains how to stream on the PS5 via Twitch.

How to stream to Twitch on the PlayStation 5

After all, you can use the Create button on the DualSense controller to broadcast your own gameplay around the world, provided you have a Twitch account. If this is not yet the case, you should create a corresponding account via a mobile device or computer, whereby you can also personalize the channel first.

In order to stream via the PS5, you have to connect the Twitch account to the PlayStation Network. To do this, you can follow the instructions on the screen and scan the QR code or enter the displayed code via twitch.tv/activate. If you have already connected your Twitch account to the PlayStation Network via PS4, you can simply transfer this to the PS5. Two-factor authentication is also required for streaming on the PS5.

After that, you can theoretically start streaming by pressing the Create button while playing and selecting Broadcast and Twitch from the options. Alternatively, you can select Broadcast from the user-defined Control Center. A headset or the microphone integrated into the DualSense can be used for voice transmission.

In addition, you can give the stream a title, add the HD camera of the PlayStation 5, adjust the position of the quick menu, and make other settings. You can also adjust the video quality in the Record and broadcast section of the system menu. The transmission begins with the point Go Live.

As soon as you want to end the stream, press the Create button, select Broadcast, and then click End Broadcast. You can also stop the transmission via the Control Center or the Broadcast Card. In addition, there is also an option for a break with Pause Broadcast.
