Starbreeze Entertainment is developing a Dungeons & Dragons game on Unreal Engine 5. The internal project codenamed Project Baxter is set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons and will feature co-operative multiplayer among other game modes.
While there could have been many others, Starbreeze has licensed the Dungeons & Dragons IP from Wizards of the Coast and will get to work on the video game. The game is set to release on all platforms in 2026 and will likely have crossplay as well.

Dungeons & Dragons is one of the most popular tabletop roleplaying game since 1974. It is a cooperative, storytelling game where you and other players take on the roles of different characters within a story. Over the years, there have been different publications of the game. However, the community of players and the fanbase remains the same. With Project Baxter, the developers at Starbreeze Entertainment are hoping to bring Dungeons & Dragons to one of its biggest scales ever with Unreal Engine 5.
