The Ubisoft Dusseldorf studio has announced the return of Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time to the current catalog of the company, although in a way that undoubtedly is far from what players have experienced from its previous games.
Prince of Persia: The Dagger Of Time is the new work of Ubisoft Dusseldorf studio and it is a kind of massive Escape Room title for virtual reality that you can play at various physical spaces spread across Europe, with several of them in Spain.
This adventure takes place within the Prince of Persia trilogy consisting of The Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones, leading us to be summoned into the Fortress of Time by Kaileena to stop an evil Magi.
Players of all ages can cooperate in this adventure to help them escape and complete the mission entrusted to us. In fact in the game description, it is mentioned that it is not possible to overcome the challenges without help and good communication between the players. “TDOT (The Dagger of Time) is an experience built around cooperation between players of all ages to achieve a shared goal. Collaboration is essential: you cannot succeed without your teammates. Being able to listen and communicate effectively is absolutely key to success,” can be read on its official website.
Since multiple connected VR configurations are needed between them it is not something we can play at home. In the USA and European countries, there are centers where the different VR experiences of Ubisoft are available. The specific locations can be found here. In India too, you can find the centers at Mumbai.
In any case, players continue to ask for revisions of the classics or a new installment that brings one of the great Ubisoft franchises to the present day. Possibly one of the main reasons for not bringing the Prince of Persia game back is its many similarities to the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
